American Legion Posts in NJ


Below are three lists of American Legion posts NJ classified by activity and sponsorship. The first list shows all active posts that have sponsored ALJBS statesman since 2014. The second list shows all active posts that have not sponsored since 2014. The third and final list shows all other known posts in NJ, all of which are inactive (and not sponsoring statesmen). Below is a list of American Legion Posts throughout NJ who have sponsored delegates since 2014 to the American Legion Jersey Boys State program. Each post has a partner in your high school (guidance counselor or teacher) that they work with to coordinate interviews at their American Legion Post of applicants or an arrangement with the contact in your high school where will select you and pass your completed application along for sign-off. The number of delegates that each of these posts will send to the ALJBS program will vary (from 1 to 10 or more). Below is the list of remaining American Legion Posts who are active, yet have not sponsored delegates to the American Legion Jersey Boys State program since 2014. We cannot confirm that they have a partner in your high school (guidance counselor or teacher), but these are likely to be able to assist you in obtaining funding to attend the ALJBS program. If a post in your area is listed below, you can apply to ALJBS; however, you will need to proceed through the On-line Application System as a 'Post 5000' application, meaning you will need to cover the cost to attend the program. You can attempt to contact them to discuss the American Legion Boys State program and seek a sponsorship from one of these posts; however, it is less likely that they will possess the funds for your sponsorship. If a post in your area is listed below, you can apply to ALJBS; however, you will need to proceed through the On-line Application System as a 'Post 5000' application, meaning you will need to cover the cost to attend the program.
