On-line Application System is Open!

Changes for 2017 allow any high school junior from NJ to apply!

At long last, the time has come for on-line application season to begin. For the first time in its 72-year history, American Legion Jersey Boys State is open to any high school junior in New Jersey! Applicants who live in New Jersey and go to school in another state and applicants who live in another state and attend school in New Jersey are encouraged to apply. Before this year, only those students who were sponsored by a local American Legion post were encouraged to apply. Now, ALJBS attendance is open to any high school junior, regardless of whether their school is covered by an active Legion post.

We have created a page here on our site that details the new application process. Upon registering for an account using the On-line Application System, applicants will set their high school and post first, which will drive the different types of applications that can be generated. Again, click here to read through the two types - those covered by an American Legion in your area, or those in areas where post coverage has not been possible. We are very excited to offer this program as it was intended - to any high school junior in the state of NJ.

Thank you for your patience as we finalized our system for the 2017 session. As always, feel free to use the menu at the top of your pages to help you navigate the process. We hope that you will be one of the 1,000+ delegates we look forward to educating during our 72nd session at Rider University, June 18-23, 2017!
